More than 3000 people are expected to attend the Ulladulla dawn service while in excess of 4500 people will line the streets of Milton for the march and service.
Milton Ulladulla RSL Sub-Branch President Paul Warren said stronger security measures would be put in place to meet NSW Police Force demands.
“We have to use vehicles as barricades along and around the highway at Milton for the march,” he said.
“There will be extra vesicles involved with the dawn service at the ExServos.”
This follows stricter security and the use of trucks and buses as barricades at the Blessing of the Fleet festival on Easter Sunday.
Mr Warren urged people to be dropped off at the Milton march “well before” the 10am start.
“With the additional security that is in place for Milton, I suggest that people dropping off elderly visitors get up and be drop them off well before 10am,” he said.
“They wont have access to the assembly point after that.
“There will also be no parking in Myrtle Street because that will be a detour route and have two-way traffic on it.”
New additions to the Ulladulla Memorial site outside the Milton Ulladulla ExServos Club were welcomed by Mr Warren.
“An anchor, a gun and a propeller have been added,” he said.
“The ExServos have had them for many years at the back of club.
“We refurbished them and placed them out the front to enhance the memorial.
“It has been a long process. We applied for some grants to help us out but they failed so the ExServos came to the party.”
Roughly 34 wreaths will be laid at the dawn service and close to 40 are expected to be placed on the cenotaph in Milton.
