Staunton, who plays for the Ulladulla Dockers under 11s team in the South Coast junior AFL competition, is a fan of the Giants – in particular Jonathon Patton.
Staunton has being playing the sport for two years, which has seen her win the club’s under 11s best and fairest in 2016.
On the back of this, the on-baller, also was piked in the Illawarra Saints under 14 representative side last year.
On top of that, Staunton also played for the Illawarra Saint under 16s side - where she received the team's most valuable player award earlier this year.
“I love playing AFL, largely to the people I play with,” Staunton told the Giants.
“I also enjoy helping out around the club.”
Staunton appears set to follow in the footsteps of fellow- South Coast star Maddy Collier, who plays for the Giants women’s team.
