AFTER a promising start to the season, thanks to a 3-nil win against Sussex, the Milton Panthers have suffered their first two losses of the Shoalhaven Football season within 24 hours of one another.

The Panthers first lost 1-nil to Shoalhaven Heads Berry FC at Lighthouse Oval on Saturday, before travelling up to Lyrebird Park on the Sunday to play a make-up game.
But the road trip didn’t do anything for the Panthers, who lost 3-1 to Shoalhaven United. Despite the two results, Panthers coach Rod Kain took plenty of positives out of the games.
“I thought we played great football in both games at the weekend and I’m very pleased with the effort shown by all members of the squad,” Kain said.
Other results from include Bomaderry defeating United 4-1 at Lyrebird Park, St Goerges Basin defeating Sussex Seahawks 2-1 St Georges Basin Sporting Complex, Culburra defeating Huskisson 3-2 at Culburra Oval and Gerringong proving too strong for Illarro, winning 4-nil. Manyana had the bye.
