Next weekend sees most of our teams playing away with only the U13s at Ulladulla on Saturday and the U15s at Ulladulla on Sunday. The U15s game is being played on Sunday due to their opponents Dapto having players in Cessnock on Saturday as part of the CRL Championships match with the Illawarra team.
Our leaguetag teams are not playing this Saturday however they are playing on Sunday as part of a gala day with the Illawarra teams. Good luck girls, we hope you enjoy the day.
The washed-out matches for our mods and girls leaguetag teams from June 10 have been rescheduled for Saturday, July 8. Please note that this is the middle weekend of the school holidays, if you are unable to play this match please notify your coach as soon as possible. The international matches have been rescheduled for Tuesday, August 15 with times to be confirmed closer to the date. The minis matches are not being replayed.
We would like to congratulate Riley Wooden who’s representative career continues to build with a late call-up this week to be part of the 15s team in the National Rugby League Championships in Toronto.
We would also like to thank Melissa Diver of Bliss Photography who captured lots of great action shots of the minis matches over the weekend. These are on our Facebook page so please check them out.
The clubs canteen for Eli is progressing nicely with good support by both players supporting the canteen and families donating items for sale. We will be continuing to run the canteen on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3.30pm with hot food, slushies, coffee and cakes on sale for the entire month of June. So boys and girls instead of venturing to other outlets after school before coming to training please come along and support the canteen fundraiser for Eli.
Training shorts are now in stock, they are $30 per pair and we have a large variety of sizes, they are available through the canteen along with other great items of Doggies merchandise, if you are interested in purchasing any items please contact Sharon on 0406 977 101.
Coaches, trainers & leaguesafes please ensure you have your photo ID card and armband on at the commencement of your game or you will be asked to leave the designated field area.
State of Origin has gone to a decided in game 3 on July 12. It will be huge, if you are not going to the game we encourage you and your families to come along and enjoy the game and atmosphere at the Ex Servos, the club has the largest TV in the area, the Sea Salt Restaurant has Schnitty night with a half chicken schnitty with chips and gravy $8 and a loaded schnitty with chips and salad or veg for $15, so come along and support the club who supports the Doggies.
We have over the past few weeks had a lot of lost property left behind post training and matches, so if you are missing any items please do come and see us in the canteen after training on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
For those teams playing at home each weekend we would like to remind you that the club requires your assistance to make the day run smoothly, if your team is participating in the first game we ask that the parents and supporters assist in setting up the fields and the teams that are involved in the last games of the day that parents and supporters assist in packing up the fields and returning all items neatly to the sheds. Each team is required to provide 2 parents to assist in the canteen and on the BBQ in the hour before their game, the canteen is one of the clubs biggest revenue raisers.
Our weekly meat raffles at the Ex Servos continue to surge along and this week we ask for the parents and families of the U10s to come along and support and assist us with the raffles. Ticket sales commence at 6pm, drawn 7pm. Keep up to date on all things Junior Doggies via Facebook and our website.
