About 30 local members and visitors from the Men’s Shed in Bawley Point, got together for a day of food and games last week.
The lunch was prepared by father and son duo Peter and Gavin Dorrell, and funded by a senior’s grant.
Shed leader on the day, Kel Greathead said everyone was set for a typical entertaining day at the shed.
“We always have fun at the shed,” said Kel.
“It’s a great social day to celebrate seniors week.
“Most of the members are retired and we get a lot of support from the seniors.”
The day featured a variety of games including, quoits, putting, botchy and Aunt Sally - an old English game introduced by foundation member, Barrie Wilford.
Kel said the shed has a lot to offer for its members and is, “not just about getting dusty from wood dust, but other things as well.
“We often get representatives from Shoalhaven council and other organisations on a range of senior health issues, who have a lot of input into the shed,” he said.
