Year 11 students from Ulladulla High School and Shoalhaven Anglican School will learn safe driving techniques in the program which will start Wednesday, October 22.
Three groups of students will take part in the training program in the Ulladulla ExServos car park over the next three weeks, under the supervision of NSW Police, Fire and Ambulance personnel as well as driving instructors.
Program coordinator Michael Mastronardi last week picked up the keys from Alan May Holden which is donating three cars for the program that will wind up with a day trip to Marulan Driver Training Centre.
Michael said the program had been running since 1991, with hundreds of kids learning life saving skills.
He said the program would not be possible without the support of the Ulladulla Milton Lions and Rotary clubs.
“We need to acknowledge the ongoing support of the community that ensures the program can continue to train young drivers and ultimately save lives,” he added.
