Two weeks ago some of the club’s brave and beautiful ladies took to the floor for the zone champion lady competition.
There was some fierce competition on the floor and many teachers commented the standard was similar to nationals, so congratulations ladies on being among the best.
The day started with one of the club’s beginner ladies, Kiara Lane.
This was Kiara's first year competing as a lady, a jump from senior work, but Kiara suits this work beautifully and was rewarded for her hard work as a semi-finalist.
Three of the under 33 ladies then took to the floor.
It was the hardest section by far on the day but Renee Ferguson, Fiona Martin and Rochelle Donohue wowed the crowd and were outstanding semi-finalists.
Last weekend saw some of the junior girls compete at Repecharge in hope for a second chance to get to nationals.
The seven-year-old representatives were amazing for their age.
Molly Drysdale was rewarded a semi-final medal and Emily Morley went one step further to gain a deserved finalist medal.
In the eight year section, Elsa Austin also took home a shining semi-finalist medal.
In the 10-year-old section Maddi Healey was happy with her semi-final position, while her team mate Aimee Smith went one step further and got through to the final.
The club’s last competitor for the day, 12-year-old Mikayla Garrett had her first experience at Repecharge and received an honourable mention.
It was brilliant work by the juniors.
The club now looks forward to the junior teams weekend in just over a week’s time, followed by junior nationals.
It is imperative that you attend every class and extra practise between now and then as there's only four practises until teams.
