Adam Berry from Roads and Maritime Services will be at the meeting, speaking about the Princes Highway, statistics taken in Milton over the Easter weekend and progress on requests for a bypass of Milton and Ulladulla.
Anyone with questions about the needs and future planned works for the Princes Highway is welcome to come along and ask Adam, who will endeavour to answer or advise the Forum who best to contact in RMS to follow up.
Also speaking will be Scott Wells of Shoalhaven City Council, who will give an update on works for Boree Street that are still to be carried out.
Community members are asked to contribute to the meeting with any suggestions or issues they have come across within the local arterial roads.
Concerns could vary from potholes, vision issues caused by branches or shrubbery that block a drivers sight on approach, or exiting side streets.
Other matters such as speed limits, width, kerb and guttering, truck noise, access or parking, signage or other problems can also be raised.
Sometimes you might be the only person who has noticed the need for vital works or you have also spoken to others who have mentioned the same spot about similar concerns.
Council needs and values community input to be aware of issues that can be entered onto the system to be investigated further and for action.
The meeting on Monday, November 3 will also discuss the support given for the improved playground at Narrawallee Inlet, showing what can be achieved by a united local effort.
In the same way, those in this area can also support the option to retain the Milton Library which is also used by residents in Narrawallee and Mollymook, as well as those living in Little Forest, Yatte Yattah, Conjola, Fishermans Paradise, Bendalong, Manyana and Cunjurong Point - all of whom might be in Milton on other matters and do not need to go further south to Ulladulla.
Visitors to the area on holidays also find the Milton Library more convenient and would like to see the library open more not less.
Suggestions for comment are able to be given online on Shoalhaven City Council website, by clicking on current projects.
The meeting is taking place on Monday, November 3, in St Martin’s Church hall starting at 7pm, before supper will be served at about 8.30pm.
