With English forbidden, attendees had their brains stretched when they were deeply immersed in the French language and culture.
Critiques of film clips, a virtual tour of the Palace of Versailles, word games and French trivia were just a few of the activities, all conducted in French and accompanied by much laughter.
Of course eating was involved with a breakfast, a lunch, afternoon teas and a dinner.
The light-hearted atmosphere was appreciated by the 19 Francophiles from Ulladulla and surrounding districts.
The instructive fun was imaginatively led by Ulladulla’s Christine Pearce and two educationalists from the Alliance Française de Canberra.
The Dunn-Lewis Centre provided the excellent facilities and the catering and everyone agreed, “C’était un bon weekend!”
