Trauma Teddies are hand knitted and completed by volunteers and distributed to the hospital, ambulance and police service and medical centres in the area.
These teddies are given to children in stressful situations and the comfort that these hand knitted bears gives is wonderful.
National Trauma teddy Day is on November 23 and the branch would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who knit or finish the Trauma Teddies.
These bears are given away - they cannot be sold, but are a way for Red Cross to contribute to the wellbeing of stressed children.
The Milton Ulladulla and District branch of Red Cross through Phyllis Emery give away almost 200 teddies every month in the area.
The medical centres, hospital and police welcome the donations of these bears.
Donations of craft filling or eight-ply wool are always welcome.
If anyone is interested in knitting the teddies then please contact Phyllis Emery on 4454 1598.
Thanks to all those who supported the branch at the recent Bunnings barbecue.
The next fundraising event will be a Garage Sale at 32 Tulip Oak Drive, Ulladulla on Saturday, November 22 at 8am.
Good quality books and household items have been donated to the branch for the garage sale.
Members will be on hand to talk more about the work of Red Cross in the area.
