WHAT a round of semi-finals.
In the first match, first placed Donohue (Jenny, Lorne and Libby) clashed with fourth placed Simon (Jo, Sarah and Rebecca).
With everyone on board and no fill ins it was a smashing.
Jo, Sarah and Rebecca were on fire and didn't let the opposition get a look in, winning all six sets.
There were two close matches going to tie breaks with Jenny putting up a great fight in both those matches. Fourth beat first by 8-0.
In the second match, second placed Blondinau (Mel, Karen and Cathy) met with third placed Bennett (Lara, Sue and Mary Lou).
This was a close tussle all evening and by the end there was only three games separating the two. In the make or break game of the night, Lara and Sue came from behind to beat Mel and Karen in a tie break, which sealed the victory for them.
Lara, Sue and Mary Lou really played strong tennis and have set themselves up for a grand final showdown with Jo, Sarah and Rebecca.
In the third match, the semi-final game to see who plays off for the wooden spoon, Pascoe sixth (Sue, Katie and Naomi) played Hardwick seventh (Cindy for Jas, Sonya for Sussie and Julie H).
Sue had a fantastic night winning all three sets.
Pascoe was too good for Hardwick, Pascoe winning 7-1. This results in Hardwick seventh matching up with Anderson eighth for the wooden spoon.
Don't forget to bring some goodies along on the night. A big thanks to all the fill-ins throughout the season. We couldn't play if you didn't come along to help when people can't make it.
