The SREP is open to sports organisations looking to stage international, national or community events throughout NSW in 2015 and 2016.
Under the SREP, eligible organisations may apply for multiple event types, however the maximum available to any one organisation under the program is $30,000 in a financial year.
Grants are capped at $30,000 for international sporting events, $15,000 for national championships; and $10,000 for community events.
Applicants must also contribute 50 per cent or more to the staging of the event, which may include “in kind” support.
Member for South Coast Shelley Hancock encouraged local sporting groups to get their applications in before April 24.
“The Baird Government is committed to assisting sporting groups in hosting quality local, national and international events,” Mrs Hancock said.
“The SREP facilitates the type of events that get people excited and involved in sporting matches, whether as supporters or as competitors.”
