Yes, it is time to look for the best of the best in the local business community ahead of the 2015 Community and Business Awards.
The awards are presented y the Milton Ulladulla Rotary Club and the Milton Ulladulla Times, and this years the awards have been reorganised to make sure entering has never been easier.
The entry fee has been cut to just $30, so there is no excuse not the enter and be in a chance to win fantastic recognition and prizes, along with gain valuable feedback on the way your business is operating.
However more than just businesses are recognised in the awards.
It also pinpoints the best in our local community, starting with the keenly-contested Community Organisation of the Year award.
There is also Rotary’s Max Bayliss Award for contribution to the community, which is selected by Rotary.
Because of the importance of tourism to the local economy there will also be an award for the best tourism event, along with a Milton Ulladulla Business Chamber Award recognising an outstanding contribution to tourism or business.
Readers and customers will have plenty of say in the awards that are presented during the big awards evening at the Ulladulla Civic Centre of Friday, September 11.
Popular vote will determine the winners of the best restaurant and best café orn casual eatery.
Popular vote will also decide the winners of the Milton Ulladulla Times friendliest employee and Milton Ulladulla Times friendliest business.
Different criteria will be used to determine the winners of the MBA Award for best trades person or builder, which will be decided by the Master Builders Association.
There will also be the best tourism or hospitality business, best professional practice, best in trade and services, best in health, wellbeing and beauty and best in retail.
In fact there are so many awards and so many categories there is sure to be something to cover pretty much anyone and everyone.
And of course all the winners will be in the running for the biggest award of the night – business of the year.
This is particularly prestigious, with recent winners speaking about how much the award had benefited their business.
The awards night promises to be a big one celebrating the best in the local community, along with providing a perfect opportunity for people in the business community to get together, network a little, learn from the award winners, and enjoy a great night out.
