Thrill seekers of all ages will have the chance when a giant slide comes to Ulladulla on Sunday November 29 as part of the HarbourFeast festival.
Festival organiser Leonie Smith said the 315 metre long slide was set up and ready to provide hours of fun and action down Burrill Street South to the harbour from 10am.
“It definitely brings the wow factor to the festival and is an amazing thing to happen for this town,” she said.
Leonie is encouraging local eateries to open their doors as part of Sunday’s Wine Down event.
“We are expecting thousands of people to attend the slide event and I want patrons to frequent the eateries around town,” she said.
People can bring their own floatation device or purchase one from organisers on the day for $10.
Sessions will run at 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm and possibly 6pm on Sunday, with tickets available online at www.harbourfeast.com.au
Festival organisers have organised for six nearby roads to be closed to cater for the slide.
“Burrill St South will be closed from Owen Street to Wason Street from 4am on Sunday until late into the night,” Leonie said.
“Both residents and guests at the two motels on Burrill Street South will still have access to their property, with the assistance of road marshals.
A single Slide costs $10 or $35 for a 90-minute pass, with unlimited slides.
A 90 minute family pass is $120.
Younger children can enjoy a mini slide and wading pool, free of charge.
Each Slide session is regulated, with a maximum of 500 people permitted each session.
Leonie said Slide City Australia would donate 10 per cent of proceeds to the Milton-Ulladulla Rotary Club.
The HarbourFeast Festival will kicked off on Friday night with a Locavore dinner at the Ulladulla Civic Centre featuring local produce from Between the Clyde and Shoalhaven Rivers.
Saturday’s HarbourFeast boutique food and wine festival was held on on the civic centre lawn with the sun shining down as local and visiros enjoyed local food, wine and produce along with live music on the outdoor stage plus Kids Cove and a range of demonstrations and exhibitions.
