Last week Ella, Jack, Laura, Jasmine and Siena packed up and headed to Quirindi with their support crew to compete at the state championships in both mounted games and team sporting. This event saw the gathering of the best teams in NSW and Queensland.
In the heat and the dust, and there was plenty of it, our team gave each race everything they had and the hours of practice paid off with them gaining a third place in the pyramid race, followed by a fourth in the five flag and the blue ribbon in the straight diamond flag.
This was an incredible achievement for this young team and with seven other top ten placings put them in eighth place overall at the completion of the event. It was a thrill for the team to not only compete at this level but to also produce great results.
Earlier in the week Siena, despite being very unwell, managed to record some good times in the individual events.
In other club news we hope everyone enjoyed the Jane Frankum Clinic and that the sessions with this top NSW coach were beneficial to you and your ponies.
Members who attended the Zone 28 camp had a great time with the variety of instruction on offer and the opportunity to catch up with friends from other clubs.
Finally we would all like to wish Teagan a speedy recovery and we look forward to seeing you back at pony club in the not too distant future.
See you all at the next rally, happy riding.
