The final 330 metre stretch of path was poured and completed by volunteers on Saturday.
The project is a joint venture between the Red Head Villages Association and Shoalhaven City Council.
It has been in planning for five years and work commenced in 2014 when a gravel track was constructed on the northern section.
In May last year a bridge was built over the estuary at the southern end which will protect the estuary and minimise disturbance of the sensitive waterway.
It will also protect the sand dunes to the north which were being damaged by the increasing pedestrian traffic between Manyana and Bendalong.
The pathway will be used by pedestrians, cyclists and people with disabilities who will now be able to get between the two villages pleasantly and safely without having to put lives at risk by travelling the main roads.
Volunteers from the area worked tirelessly over the last year to see the project to fruition.
In total about 350 man hours of work were expended to complete the job.
The next stage will be the section to the north of the bridge to Bendalong Road, which the association hopes will be fully funded by council and completed without the need for volunteers.
