Unit deputy controller James Gunn said the Ulladulla SES had received 66 calls for assistance since Tuesday afternoon, with calls still coming in on Wednesday morning.
“Many of these callouts were a result of flash flooding and leaking roofs,” he said.
“Today’s high winds will most likely result in more callouts due to tree damage.”
Mr Gunn said loose items, such as unsecured trampolines, could “cause collateral damage” to neighbouring properties throughout Wednesday.
“After the wind dies down take care to look over your property and neighbouring properties which may be vacant,” he reminded residents.
“Property maintenance such as cleaning gutters and trimming overhanging branches is advised.”
Mr Gunn said Ulladulla had the highest rainfall in Australia over the last 24 hours, with crews called in from out of the area to lend a hand during the clean-up.
