A deluge of rain caused landslides, flood damage and road havoc on Tuesday, when the Ulladulla area received more than 170 millimetres of rain in 24 hours from 9am Monday.

Another 115 millimetres fell from 9am Tuesday until 8am Wednesday.
The backyard of a house in Mitchell Parade slipped away and was being stabilised on Tuesday afternoon.
Water was lapping at houses in the low lying areas of Lake Conjola and waters continued to rise despite the lake being opened naturally.
Roads in Lake Conjola were also closed, as well the highway at Bewong.
The Ulladulla SES received more than 12 callouts on Tuesday morning with people concerned about flooding to their properties.
They had more than 20 people on the ground helping to keep water out of homes and fix roofs and drains.
“We are expecting more calls,” said Ulladulla SES deputy controller James Gunn.
“Half our members are out attending incidents and we have 12 vehicles on the road.”
Smarts Flat and Boolgatta Flat North of Milton, were both inundated, and there was a minor rockslide in Milton.
The SES is urging people to call them if people have issues with their roof and not try and fix it themselves.
They are also urging people to move loose items indoors or out of the wind.
“We do not want to see trampolines on roofs,” James said.
Continuing heavy rain forced the evacuation of more than 300 people from their homes in St Georges Basin and Sussex Inlet.
The forecast for Wednesday is for more heavy rain at times in the morning and southerly winds up to 35 km/h turning south-west in the late morning and early afternoon.
Daytime maximum temperatures between 11 and 16 are forecast.
Large and powerful surf conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as rock fishing, swimming and surfing.
