Father will be missed
Living in Ulladulla for four years and attending Holy Family Catholic Church has been the best experience I have had in my Catholic upbringing. I have looked forward to attending Holy Family and have become a better person for it

Our dedicated Priest Father Davidanthony was told to pack up and leave and given a week to do it because a handful of people have been trying their hardest to get him kicked out for the last six years.
Well you have won and shame on you all. Many parishioners are in total shock as am I.
God bless you, Father.

Heartfelt appeal
I had the pleasure to hear 16-year-old Chloe Scott, daughter of a dairy farmer from Ballarat in Victoria being interviewed on the Channel 9 Today Show. Chloe has personally taken up the campaign to save the dairy farmers in southern Victoria seeing that her dad has had to walk off their property over what has happened to farmers over recent weeks.
To hear this articulate bright and passionate young lady, take up this cause was an inspiration. She strongly suggested, after doing a survey around her area, that farmers don’t want to borrow money that comes from the government package, which they have to pay back. They just want some margin back to allow them to provide the resource they provide. She highlighted that big business created the problem and it is they who have to make good the mess they have created. Farmers can’t do it. But she hopes that we as a community can.
She made a strong case for All Australians to stop supporting cheap home brand milk and buy only the branded product.

Hospital worth saving
I write as a mother, daughter, woman and member of the Milton Ulladulla community. I am a passionate advocate for women's health and want to live in a vibrant, thriving community with services to match.
I have visited the Milton Hopsital as a patient and with my children on countless occasions. I have always received the best of care and attention.
Recently I attended an informal meeting with 50 other community members, where we learnt of the continuous downgrading of hospital services at Milton.
While there are a raft of issues that concern me, the lack of transparency and community consultation is most worrying. It seems that if it wasn't for a handful of concerned staff within the system, the public would have no idea that their maternity services are being dwindled away to nothing, with mothers being forced to drive to Nowra to have their babies.
With equipment being removed, and a number of doctors considering their positions, it is even more frightening to think that should mothers go into labour early or have a complication their local hospital may not be able to help them. An hour-long trip to Nowra in an ambulance is no comfort, particularly in an emergency.
I encourage everyone who lives in our community to take action - write a letter, send an email, join the Save Maternity Services Working Group - lend a hand.

Bad language not needed
A recent addition to your newspaper is Craig Henderson's full page column. I refer in particular to his articles `So What's in a Name` and `Watch out for the BPE` We are still struggling to make sense of either of these articles as well as disapproving of some words used in both. “Be-Jesus”, “ Where the feck” and “A f...ing performance”. We feel the use of this language in a newspaper to be quite offensive.
