Mostly instrumental, the album is a homage to his beloved exotic Mohan Veena.
Milton Theatre patrons will soon be able to enjoy its music when he performs next month.
Mr Manx had an unforgettable experience with the 20-stringed instrument and news of the event spread around the world in a flash.
In 2013, someone stole the Mohan Veena from an airport carousel.
A day after he announced the theft on his Facebook page, more than three million people had spread the word, searching, praying for its return and even making him a new one.
Soon the world was learning what a Mohan Veena was and consequently (for those who had not previously listened) about Harry Manx’s unique music.
Police found the culprit and the instrument two days later.
A worldwide festival favorite, Harry’s 13 albums and ceaseless touring have earnt him many Canadian folk awards, nominations and accolades.
Bruce Springsteen said he learnt something hearing Harry play.
Billboard Magazine called Manx Canada’s most versatile and expressive blues player.
His 12th studio recording, Ohm Suite Ohm took a new direction, including Bollywood electric slide guitar work, featuring instrumental compositions, original songs, an exceptional cover of John Coltrane’s A Love Supreme, guest vocalists and international collaborators.
His date with the Milton Theatre audience is Thursday, September 8 at 8pm.
Tickets are $49. Call Country Leather, Milton on 4455 3056.
