On Tuesday, September 3, officers, assisted by the Tactical Operations Unit executed a search warrant at a residential property in Fishermans Paradise, a police spokesperson said.
"Police located and seized a firearm, ammunition, tasers, cannabis, steroids and drug paraphernalia," the spokesperson said.
Police inquiries are continuing.
This discovery follows Operation Athena which located and resulted in the seizure of more than 400 firearms across the country last week.
From August 26 to August 30 police conducted 582 safe storage inspections,14 firearms prohibition orders (FPO) searches,15 weapons prohibition orders (WPO) searches, seized 81 firearms and obtained 48 surrendered firearms in NSW.
