Following Basketball NSW's recommendation on Saturday, which has left the Shoalhaven Tigers Waratah League seasons in limbo, the SBA has made a decision in regards to all other on-court activities, outlined in Monday's COVID-19 statement, which reads;
In light of recent events and the emergence of additional information and guidance into the management and risk mitigation related to the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Shoalhaven Basketball Association (SBA) board has decided to suspend all SBA current and upcoming events, fixtures and activities from Tuesday, March 17 until further notice.
This includes, but is not limited to;
- all junior (Thursday) and senior (Tuesday) domestic competitions
- representative training for all teams (Barrengarry and Southern Junior League)
- junior domestic skills clinic and Aussie hoops
- walking basketball
- SBA association day cancelled
In making this decision, the SBA board has considered advice from health authorities, the Australian and NSW Government's approach to limiting exposure, Basketball Australia and BNSW advice, and feedback from other relevant parties.

Please note that these events and activities are suspended at this stage and can be subject to immediate change.
SBA will continue to review and monitor advice from health authorities and any decisions will be communicated on the SBA Facebook page and website.
External competitions and programs such as BNSW's Waratah League, SJL and Barrengarry Conference are governed by separate bodies.
Information and updates regarding non-SBA programs can be obtained from the relevant sources.
At this stage, all BNSW events have been suspended up until at least April 5, while Barrengarry fixtures for March 22 and 29 have by postponed.
"As this is a rapidly evolving situation, SBA would like to thank everyone for their understanding and patience as we work through this difficult period," a Shoalhaven Basketball Association spokesperson said.
"This is not a decision that has been taken lightly and we want to reassure the basketball community that we will continue to follow the advice of authorities and health professionals to ensure the health and wellbeing of the entire SBA family."
