The stress of completing work to the best of my ability, but still feeling like I haven't done enough and missing the guidance and structure provided by set classes and teachers.
My teachers are doing great and are always contactable, but email isn't the same as a face-to-face conversation or a classroom discussion.
The prospect of the upcoming HSC exams scares me the most.
The uncertainty of how long this homeschooling is going to last, paired with the feeling that my self-learnt material isn't as strong as my class-led material, leaves me feeling that, while I'd do well in certain classes and topics that we've already covered, my marks would suffer in classes I'm less confident in, due to a lack of understanding, or just a lack of confidence.
It's drilled into students from year 7 to year 12 that the HSC exams are a defining factor in your future and that alone makes year 12 a pretty stressful time.
The COVID-19 crisis, on top of the bushfires, has only made it worse.
I like structuring my own day and the lack of distractions learning at home brings, but overall, the material being taught isn't covered in the same depth or conveyed in a way that makes it stick.
I'm not sure hard work alone can make up for the disturbed routines and missing information, but I suppose it's all that can be done.
