Hachette Australia is publishing the memoir written by Farnham in partnership with Poppy Stockwell, the writer and director of the singer's biopic Finding the Voice.
"Having been asked many times, it finally felt like the right time to sit down and tell my story," Farnham said.
"It is a very strange feeling looking back on my life, on the good and the bad, and now that I have started, it is all rushing back.
"I hope the book engages and entertains, because that's what so much of my life has been about."
It comes after the You're The Voice singer revealed he had been given the "all clear" from cancer in August 2023, one year on from his initial surgery.
The 74-year-old said he was "luckiest man" and had lost count of the number of procedures he'd been through since a 12-hour surgery to remove a cancerous tumour from his mouth.
His cancer battle led to an outpouring of public support including from Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and a tribute by Robbie Williams during his Sydney concert in November.
Hachette Australia said it was proud to announce the "long-awaited memoir from Australia's greatest and most beloved music icon".
"The Voice Inside charts John Farnham's very personal and public journey, told in his own words and with his inimitable humour, insight, and humility," it said in a statement on Facebook.
The Voice Inside will be published on October 30 and is available for pre-order.
