A wave of fluoro and smiles greeted the sunrise at North Mollymook Beach on Friday, March 24 as more than 70 people joined in the international OneWave event.

The bright event which focuses on good vibes and mental health awareness celebrated its fourth birthday.
Co-organiser Jenny Lunnon said it was an great morning, spreading an important message.
“So many of us have been touched by friends and family suffering from mental health issues. We all have a story to share about it,” she said.
“OneWave is all about everyone supporting each other, your local beach and community.
“I was over the moon to see so many bright, happy people join in the event.”
Members of the community shared their mental health stories and an attempt at the world largest wave was made together with OneWave events throughout the world.
Milton-Ulladulla band The Escalators released the official OneWave soundtrack titled ‘Free the Funk’ which was released globally by OneWave and Triple J Unearthed.
Band member Lachlan MacKenzie said it was a great opportunity for the band to focus on a coastal vibe as well as an issue which impacts so many families througout the region.
“As with everyone in the community we have all had our contact with mental health issues, either with ourselves, friends or family,” he said.
Jenny Lunnon was a huge fan of the new song, excited for its potential to spread the OneWave message.
“It is absolutely fantastic song. I love the vibe, it is catchy and great for adults and kids,” she said.
“Everyone should take advantage of the free download to help spread the message across the world.”
