Milton-Ulladulla Bulldogs coach Nathaniel Morrison says that first grade hooker is about the only position decided with four-time Michael Cronin Medal winner Adam Stone a walk-up start.
Morrison said highly contested positions at present were fullback, front row, wing and halfback.
Those vying for positions at fullback/wing are Andrew George, Brent Hurley, Will Ray, Locky Moore, Jimmy Little, Dale Berry, and Shayne Leffley.
Front row - Ben McKinnon, Zack Kershaw, Rafe Garnon, Greg Houghton, Ben Evans, Jamie Wills and Santino Battagliolo.
Halfback - Jayde Tooth, Dylan Doyle, Brent Hurley, Andrew George, Jayden Millard and Josh Pender.
Up-and-coming centre Blake Mackey recently played his first international with the Philippines who defeated Serbia in a one-off. Mackey won the Coaches’ Player at the Bulldogs in 2015 and is tipped to have another top season.
The under 18s are training the house down and the WLT have a trial against Binalong in a few weeks. Weekly training sessions will commence at Bill Andriske Oval on Tuesday, February 16. On February 27 there will be a trial in all grades against Group 6 club Moss Vale.
On March 12 at Mollymook the Dogs will challenge Woodbridge Cup holders Binalong in reserve grade, Under 18's and WLT. Binalong will take it up to the Dogs in all grades. Binalong defeated Trundle Boomers 30-28 to win the Woodbridge Cup.
All roads will lead to Corrimal on Saturday, March 19 when the Dogs will challenge the Cougars in first, reserve and Under 18 grades.
