Labor candidate for Gilmore, Fiona Phillips has confirmed the party will match a funding promise for Jindelara respite cottage from the Liberal government if elected in the July 2 election.
The announcement confirms that a Shorten Labor Government will contribute $358,000 to the Lions-Ulladulla District Community Foundation Inc for the Jindelara Disability Respite Cottage project.
“It is a great credit to the community and Labor is pleased to provide additional funding to enable this wonderful project to be realised,” Mrs Phillips said.
“The cottage will give parents of young people with a disability the opportunity to have a rest from the pressures that result from the constant care of their loved one.”
