Of the twelve Under 16 and Interschools division two events contested this season, Tina has achieved seven gold medals, four silver medals, a cup in recognition as fastest female and contributed to six team medals including three gold, two silver and one bronze.
The pinnacle was achieving the triple win in Snow Board Cross at Interschools taking home Regional, State and National titles.
The Ulladulla High School snowboarder attends Jindabyne Central School during Term three and trains with the Perisher Winter Sports Club snowboard cross team.
The year 10 student says she has a stable group of friends at both schools and travelling between Jindabyne and Ulladulla is like “going from home to home”.
Tina would like to thank her fitness training buddy Jodie Halstead for her pre-season support and all those who have logged onto her athlete Instagram @tinataylorathlete and supported her during the season.
With snow season over, the young athlete is already thinking about how to spend the Summer preparing for next Winter.
She plans to head overseas to train, compete and gain more experience however, she has not confirmed where just yet.
“At the moment my goal is to gain more experience. My overall goal is the 2026 Olympics,” Tina said.
“I am hoping to get a base down in Jindy for year 11 and 12.
“We are still deciding what we are going to do,” she said.
Snowboarding is an extreme sport and conditions are often a challenge. Tina says this does not phase her.
“I like the adrenaline,” She said.
“It’s what I love doing.”
