The town’s first luxury apartment complex will change the face of the town and includes 34 dwellings, including four penthouses, and a plaza area providing future opportunities for cafes and shops with amazing views.
The six storey complex, located in Wason Street, overlooks Ulladulla Harbour and is expected to take 24 months to complete.
There are only nine apartments left for sale, with 25 sold off the plan, Raine and Horne Mollymook Milton agent Ben Pryde said.
He said purchasers had been looking forward to seeing work begin.
“The town has been waiting for this development for more than 10 years, so it’s fantastic that it is finally underway,” Mr Pryde said.
“The Wollongong-based developers, Realta, have just finished some big projects in the Illawarra and they are keen to get stuck into this.”
Mr Pryde expects, with work underway, the remaining apartments will be “hot property”.
“We’ve had a lot of interest, but some people have been a bit hesitant to purchase because of the time frame, but now it’s full steam ahead, so I don’t expect it will be too long before the rest are snapped up,” he said.
“We have had a lot of fence sitters, but now that it has begun I don’t think it will be too hard to sell the remaining nine apartments.”
“The apartments are right opposite the harbour and they all have views.
“Pier 32 is in the vibrant dining strip and will certainly inject even more life into this part of town.”
