Following tradition, the festival will open on the Thursday night with the Milton gallery walk. However, this year’s walk promises to be “more interactive”, with performance spaces and live music, organisers say.
Committee members Steve Trevaskis, Sue Brodie and Kara Payne encouraged the community to get in touch and share what they would like to see at the event.
“We have some exciting ideas. It will definitely be more interactive and inclusive, and there will be workshops to cover all age groups. We want to get some exciting workshops for men as well,” Ms Brodie said.
“We want to attract the younger demographic as well.”
Mr Trevaskis said the event was about showcasing artists to the community.
Ms Payne said the 2018 ARTfest event would “include a few traditional events but, mostly it will be fresh direction and ideas.”
