Congratulations also to the organisers of the inaugural Storyfest literary festival at Milton Theatre. Having internationally acclaimed bestselling author of The Book Thief Markus Zusak launch the event was quite a coup.
A big welcome was in order for the new committee of the Milton Ulladulla Hospital Auxiliary. This tireless group does such great work, it’s nice to see it remain in good hands.
The FIX IT NOW campaign caught the attention of the federal Labor Party early in the week, when Gilmore candidate Fiona Phillips and shadow assistant minister for Energy and Climate Change and Infrastructure Pat Conroy inspected the highway between Nowra and Milton. The next challenge for these two is to make a firm commitment to getting work started.
Speaking of challenges, residents concerned about an eco lodge planned for Nerringillah Creek near Bendalong will challenge its approval in the Land and Environment Court. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this story as it unfolds.
