Three local clubs have shared a portion of their profits with the community to benefit schools, disability services, men’s sheds, Marine Rescue and Mission Australia.
The Club Grants are given out each year to support community welfare and social services, community development, employment assistance activities, community health services and projects aimed at improving the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people.
Community organisations can apply for funding towards local community service needs and priorities.
Where the grants went to this year.
Ulladulla Public School – $1326 to purchase three laptops and 12 sets of headphones for a class of seven students who have autism and/or mental health issues.
$500 to hire a bus and driver to travel to the Sussex Inlet Aquatic Centre for an end of year celebration.
$500 to establish a class veggie garden.
The Ulladulla and District Riders Club has raised $5000 for farmers affected by drought.
University of Wollongong – student scholarships.
Jindelara Respite Cottage – amount unknown.
Milton Ulladulla Mens Shed – For a new bathroom fitout for the purpose built mens shed premises.
Milton Ulladulla Family History Society – To upgrade computer systems.
Marine Rescue NSW – To upgrade a malfunctioning printer.
Budawang School – Funding for 20 students with intellectual and other disabilities to attend the Berry Sport and Recreation Camp overnight.
Milton Ulladulla Preschool – To build a weatherproof walkway.
Nowra Family Support Service Inc – For two wall mounted smart TVs for Milton/Ulladulla Family Support Outreach Service.
New Office Chairs for Milton/Ulladulla Family Support Outreach Service.
