For over 45 years, Mollymook Bowling Club has offered a social environment for bowlers, members and visitors alike.
Secretary manager Alan Shapley said the club, established in 1971, was in the business of providing hospitality services.
“We provide a modern, safe environment for all types of functions and community groups,” he said.
“We have bowling greens, catering and beverage services as well as other social activities.
“Our catering is excellent with ‘on-trend’ offerings and we offer the largest range of tap beer in the area, as well as the friendliest staff.”
The club employs around 40 staff members and also has many volunteers.
These range from bar and catering staff, greenkeepers and administrative staff.
The club also has a board of directors who volunteer their time and an army of members who volunteer around the club.

What makes the club special, Alan said, is its inclusiveness.
“We cater to all groups in society, in a friendly environment,” Alan said.
“We specialise in small-medium group functions, and we’re customer focused in our service.
“We also offer a very child-friendly venue with a jumping castle available during peak times.”
Additionally, the greens are top-notch and sought-after by keen bowlers.
“Our bowling greens are the envy of the area with barefoot bowls available almost anytime – including under our floodlights,” Alan said.
With its modern facilities, the club can adapt to the needs of its customers, offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and anything in between.
Like most businesses in the area, the club has seasonal trade, and this is generally increasing year on year.
Working with the community is core to the principles of the club industry.

“By offering our excellent facilities we have attracted a large support and membership,” Alan said.
With this support, the club in turn, looks after its community.
“Working with the community is core to the principles of the club industry,” Alan said. “We have a very kind spirited community and this club is integral to this.”
