Their Shoalhaven Football Association teams, on Saturday at the Emmett Street Oval, produced a classic match which tested their fans' nerves.
The score at fulltime was 2-all and it was a thrilling match.
James Magee gave the Brumbies the lead with his goal in the 28th minute and despite a few chances, Illaroo could not get the equaliser.
Illaroo, down 1-nil at the break, had a game on its hand and needed to strike first in the second half.
However, Evan Leedham's equaliser, at the 68th minute, took longer than the visitors would have liked.
The last period of play, with the score locked at 1-all, was frantic and both teams tore into each other.
When Trent Bray scored a goal for Illaroo at the 71st minute mark the hopes of the home town fans slumped.
Disappointment, however, soon turned into jubilation for the Brumbies when Tom White levelled things up at the 74th-minute mark.
In the end, both teams had to settle for the draw.
Defence dominated the Huskisson/Vincentia and Culburra match at Huskisson Oval.
The home-side, late in the second half, kicked the two goals that would hand them victory but neither side found the back of the net in the first half.
Cougars fans might want to look away as their former striker Corey Ryan put the Seagulls in front when he scored a goal at the 65th-minute mark.
Jayden Lee sealed the win for the Seagulls when he scored a goal at the 74th-minute mark.
Husky must have defended strongly as not many teams could hold such a talented side like Culburra to nil.
Meanwhile, three goals in the first half put Bomaderry on the path to victory over Manyana.
The Tigers, at the Manyana Sports Field, went onto record a 4-nil win.
Milton/Ulladulla also dominated things in the first half, kicking two vital goals, when they played Sussex at the Thompson Street Sporting Complex.
The Panthers ended up with a more than handy 2-nil win but had to defend strongly in the second half.
Dane Garnon and Zane Wilson booted goals for the winners.
