The leading regional tourism businesses, events and visitor experiences were recognised at the 2019 Destination Sydney Surrounds South and Destination Southern NSW Regional Tourism Awards at Cupitt's Winery in Ulladulla on Wednesday.
Cupitt's Winery was one of the 10 category winners and won the gold award in the Excellence in Food Tourism section.
Winners in 10 categories were announced at the awards presentation ceremony and the finalists included tourism businesses, events, restaurants, wineries and accommodation providers.
More than 60 industry representatives were on hand to see who would take home the coveted awards.
Category winners from the Regional Tourism Awards will now gain finalist status at the NSW Tourism Awards to be held in Sydney in November.
This was the first time the Regional Awards have been held for a few years and the last South Coast Tourism Awards took place in 2016.
Cupitt's Customer Experience Manager, Libby Cupitt, said it was great to see Regional Tourism Awards back.
"It gives everyone an opportunity to recognise the good work that is happening in our region and to network with our peers," she said.
"We look forward to progressing with all the other finalists to the NSW Tourism Awards and hopefully shine a light on our beautiful region.
"It's a privilege and honour to receive the award for food tourism as it recognises the focus we have at Cupitt's Winery on delivering excellent food, wine, beer and cheese experience here in on the South Coast minutes from some of the best beaches in the country.

Libby said many people played a part in helping Cupitt's Winery get the award.
"Huge credit to our entire team at Cupitts who share our passion, vision and commitment to excellence.," she said.
"We are proud to fly the flag for South Coast at a NSW level and the region's food and wine scene gets better every year.
"We would also like to acknowledge Shoalhaven Tourism and Destination NSW for their role in improving the tourism industry on the South Coast.
"We have scene visitation continue to increase in both peak and off-peak times and it can be attributed to the work these organisations are putting in."
