At the ordinary meeting on Tuesday, November 26 council resolved to spend $10,000 on the design and approvals of the repairs.
It's expected the ramp could cost up to $200,000.
Deputy mayor Cr Patricia White said council might be able to get funding from the NSW Government's Better Boating program.

"Some of the concrete at the bottom of the boat ramp has been dislodging so its become a navigational hazard," Cr White said.
"It's been identified that it needs to be fixed as soon as possible, that's why council is now doing the design on how to fix it.
"If anybody's using the ramp, they just need to take a bit of caution at the present time until we can get it fixed."
Cr White said the problem has happened at a number of boat ramps, including at Sussex Inlet. As many of the boat ramps in the Shoalhaven are quite old the concrete eventually gives way.
Once the plans are finalised council will again vote on the funding.
