"We've had reports of two spots, and have a number of resources and heavy plant in the area," he said.
Mr Collins said making sure the spots, which are remote, were contained securely was today's priority for crews.
Their other focus in the north of the Shoalhaven is on making sure the Comberton blaze is fully contained ahead of deteriorating weather conditions before Saturday.
Police are still escorting people north out of the region, and Mr Collins enouraged people to be mindful that their trip home may be marked by intermittent highway closures.
He said fire was established in the Sussex Inlet area, and people in the Bay and Basin area, and north through Callalla, Culburra and Currarong need to seriously consider their plan for tomorrow and make preparations to leave today or defend.
"We can't guarantee it won't jump over the Basin," he said.
"For the Bay and Basin, the message is clear - expect to be impacted by fire tomorrow, prepare and plan accordingly.
"If you don't need to be here, don't."
He said residents near Conjola and Bendalong needed to be prepared for the possibility of another horror day on Saturday.
"Even though we've had fire through, it doesn't mean the threat has eased," he said.
"There are still unburnt pockets of bushland in those areas."
Mr Collins said reasonable flying conditions today would help crews in their containment efforts.
