The main event to watch out for on Friday is the Grand Parade in the main arena and the official opening of the show which will run from 1-2pm.
Some of the other highlights at the show today are the reptile kingdom and animal nursery, whipcracking, a pet show and loads more.
The show this year presents an important opportunity for the community to come together after a difficult past few months battling the Currowan fire.
There are some amazing stories of resilience at the show this year, like former Shoalhaven Mayor Max Atkins, who despite losing his home to the fire entered his prized roses.
"All of these roses, every one of them, was burnt to the ground on December 31," Max said.
"It's grown up like that in nine weeks, everyone one of them.
"People find that very hard to believe - including me."
From 24 entries he's managed to get nine first places and nine second places.
