On Saturday, the former proved too strong for Berry-Shoalhaven Heads at Lyrebird Park.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, Nowra posted 9/95 from their 20 overs, thanks to a quickfire 44 from batsmen Joshua Fernie.
The pick of the bowlers for the Magpies were Richard Ingle (2/10) and Michael Troy (2/13).
In reply, the visitors looked on track to record victory, thanks to a sharp 30 from Mal Windley.
But once the opener was dismissed, the runs slowed down and Berry fell four runs (4/92) short of victory.
Nowra's Michael O'Brien starred with the cherry, taking 2/14 from his three overs.
In the competition's other match, Norths outlasted Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens at the Bernie Regan Sports Complex.
After being sent in, the hosts made 5/111, behind 30 from Marley Arthur and 27 not out from skipper Alex Parsons.
John Bowern kept Ex-Servos in it with the ball by claiming 3/21 from his four overs.
In response, the visitors were cruising with Harminder Singh (56) and Bowern (36) at the crease.
Lachlan Almond dominated with the ball for Norths, taking 5/3 from 1.3 overs.
