The NSW Dine and Discover initiative is designed to encourage people to spend on local food and entertainment, after a tough year for the sector during COVID.
The government will give NSW residents two $25 vouchers to be used for eating in at restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs and clubs from Monday to Thursday, excluding public holidays, and two $25 vouchers to be used for entertainment and recreation, including cultural institutions, live music, and arts venues.
"People will start receiving their vouchers in March but businesses actually need to register now via the service NSW website in order to take part in the scheme," Jemma Tribe, president of the Shoalhaven Business Chamber said.
"As the local business chamber we want to see the money stay local and help local wineries, cafes, restaurants, travel agents, tour guides, cinemas, zoos and galleries get back on their feet.
"We are going to be heavily promoting this to local businesses over the next week so that as many as possible participate."

The Shoalhaven Business Chamber plans to make sure locals know who has registered, so they can spend their vouchers here in the Shoalhaven for the benefit of local businesses.
