The tour saw a group of 27 make their way to Adelaide and for member Eileen Copeman, 87, it was the first time she had ever travelled by air.
The intrepid group spent their time discovering that part of the world, visiting everything from Haigh’s Chocolate to Beerenberg Farm to Victor Harbor and the heritage Cockle Train.
Day five saw the group depart the mainland bound for Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island where they spent fours days exploring places on and off the beaten track, including a 102 step climb to the top of the Cape Willoughby Lighthouse, a guided tour of the Seal Colony at Seal Bay, Koala spotting and participated in a Birds of Prey show, where some were urged to hold a Wedge Tail Eagle.
The tour group arrived home tired, exhausted, very well fed and full of new knowledge about that part of Australia.
