However the Highway Christian Church is providing an alternative to the night's trick or treating by running what it has called a Heroes Life Party.
It has planned a swathe of activities from 6pm to 8pm including a jumping castle, bungee basketball, a mechanical surfboard, dunking machine, sumo wrestling, water bomb bullrush, sock wrestling, stilts, face painting, an exercise bike race, giant Jenga blocks, a lolly scramble and even a hero message from Walking on Water watersports head Simon Twitchen.
All the activities are available along with a sausage sandwiches, soft drinks and lolly prizes at just $5 each.
