A 40 kilometre wind, choppy seas and threatening rain did not stop quite a few of our super keen members from having a go in the November competition with quite a few surprises at the weigh in.

Two of our junior members, eight-year-old Thomas Nelson and his five-year-old brother Lucas both caught some nice luderick, with Thomas bagging a 0.335kg beat the board one.
Mark “Johnno” Johnson and Albert Dos Santos had a rest from the rock and beach and did a bit of offshore fishing in their tinny with great results. Included in Alberts catch were some huge snapper with one weighing over 3kg and a beat the board 0.730kg silver drummer.
Johonno had a similar catch including a beat the board 6.400kg Groper, but possibly lost the catch of the day when something straightened a hook out - we like to think it was a 20lb snapper.
Johnno also fished the rocks for an excellent bag of drummer.
Julian Sharrad had a great day fishing the lake for a great catch of lovely bream and a few nice dusky flathead.
He tells me the bream are back on at that infamous lake.
The rough weather did not stop club president Warren Craft, son Andrew and friend Debbie Dow going offshore for a great mixed bag of snapper and flathead.
Tim O’Brien and deckie Don Crotty took their boat south for a nice mixed bag of snapper and flathead but left it a bit late to get back before the predicted big winds hit, which nearly blew their boat over.
Results: Ladies - Debbie Dow, heaviest catch - Mark Johnston 20.480kg, Tutty award - Albert Do Santos 3.000kg plus snapper, secret weight - Mark Johnston.
Thanks as usual to our sponsors Mollymook Bowling Club and Early Bait and Tackle, which look after us every month, and thanks to the members for donating their excess fish for our monster fish raffle.
