Nine ladies make up team Mud Mothers and they are ready to face a whole lot of mud, sweat, tears - and maybe a few hard earned beers - when they cross the finish line of the 10 kilometre physical challenge being held at the Arch Racetrack in Nowra on Saturday
They will face 30 obstacles, including mud holes, barbed wire and climbing walls during the challenge that can take up to three hours to complete.
Mums Stacy Wilesmith, Fiona Butson, Kim Roughly, Zoie Collett, Bec Brook, Carla West and Carlie White, along with youngsters Abbie Wilesmith and Baylee Roughley have been training for more than two months in the lead up to the event they say will be loads of fun.
“I’m really looking forward to getting muddy,” Fiona said.
Carla said she has never done anything like the Mud Muster before.
“I think I’ll be in for a rude shock,” she laughed.
Stacy has previously completed the Tough Mudder event, and said the dirty challenge was “so much fun”.
“It’s great that something like this is so close to home,” she added.
Mother of four young children, Bec said she was looking forward to the personal challenge, while Zoie told the Times she “doesn’t do dirt”, so she was in for a rude shock.
Organisers have been preparing the track, which remains a surprise for participants, with thrill seekers expected to flock to the region for the weekend.
