The Sussex Inlet musician, who has wowed television audiences throughout Australia in recent weeks as part of team Ricky, has signed up for the relay to be held at the Milton Showground on October 17 and 18.
Joining Liam on the relay stage will be up and coming country artist Taylor Moss who played at last year’s event and will sing a song in memory of her friend Cindy Wheatley who has since lost her battle with cancer.
Based in Queensland, Taylor said she was looking forward to returning to Ulladulla, although it would be an emotional time for her, particularly when she sings Hallelujah - the song she sang at Cindy’s funeral.
“It will be wonderful to see Cindy’s family again and be apart of such a wonderful day,” she said.
“Last year was my first time being apart of Relay for Life when Cindy asked me to come down.
“I really wanted to do it again for her this year and support many other families who have lost families members to this terrible disease.
“Emotionally, it will be a lot harder for me to play this year.”
Committee member Kelly Brown said a massive line-up of entertainment was still being finalised for the relay stage, with participants set to be entertained as they pound the track throughout the 24-hour fundraising event.
So far 15 teams have signed up for the event and other are being encouraged to get on board by registering via the Cancer Council Relay for Life website.
