The Milton Ulladulla Rugby League Club held their season launch at Mollymook Golf Club on Friday night where sponsors and supporters had the opportunity to mingle and meet the 2016 Doggies from all grades.
The room was decked in red white and blue as far as the eye could see and the night was MC’d by the clubs registrar Todd Barkley which meant that there was never a dull moment.
The night also saw the celebration of a wonderful rugby league career and unfortunate early retirement of Group 7 legend Adam Stone who has loyally served the Doggies for many seasons.
The night started with the presentation of our very successful Ladies league tag team, coached by former Cronulla Sharks player and Dally M Captain of the year (1985 & 1988) David Hatch, with several of these ladies being recently selected in the inaugural Group 7 representative team.
Next Todd introduced our up-and-coming future stars in the U18s – many of these players are fresh out of last year’s U16s from our junior club and are coached by former Australian schoolboy player Brett Cox.
Our Reserve grade team also sees many new faces and a new coach in Mick Hampson.
The boys in this team are a mix of locals and players coming to the club from other parts of the Shoalhaven.
They are eager to get on the field with the team drawing a first round bye last weekend.
Our 1st grade team was the last team to be presented to the room where each player presented with their jersey by Mollymook Golf Club vice-president Rob Powell.
The 1st grade team is coached by Nathaniel Morrison who is a former player who has gained much experience in coaching across various competitions throughout Australia.
