
All teams recorded wins in the last round of the pennant season. At home, the 2’s played Bomaderry and won two rinks to one with an overall score of 63-50. Bob Boyd remaining undefeated as skip after leading all the way on his rink.
The 6’s played Bomaderry and had a three-rink win for an overall score of 61-45, with the highlight being Bruce Pendlebury’s team of Dave Chandler, Al Clarke and Freddy Foster picking up a good five on the last end to secure a one point win.
At Lake Conjola, the 5’s came away with two rinks to one win of 69-56, with two rink wins from the fours of Fuller/ Patterson/ Sawicki/ Colusso and Neale/ Bailey/ Ogilvie/ Baxter. The number 7’s travelled to Huskisson, and won two rinks to one for an overall points win 9-1. The highlight was Ken Coman’s pressure last bowl to convert six down to one up to get his first win as skip. The final of the Club Triples was played on Sunday. Graeme Carriage/ Mick Sir Wicki/ and Ron Amos had a good start and John Ruggiero’s team of John Taber and Nelson Wallace could not get their noses in front. Grassey’s team won.
