THE Milton Panthers continued their impressive 2016 campaign at the weekend, securing six crucial points in the Shoalhaven first grade competition. On Saturday, the Panthers defeated Bomaderry 3-1 on the road.
“We started the match against Bomaderry well and got an early goal through Brent Anderson,” Milton coach Greg Best said.
“But some disappointing defending on our behalf saw them equalise just before the break.
“In the second half, we regain our composure and were able to add two goals through Dane Garnon and Ivan Katusa.”
Two days later, on Monday, Milton hosted Basin.
“We went in to the break down 1-nil after Basin were awarded a penalty just before the break,” Best said.
“But to the boys credit, they turned it around in the second and scored two strong goals.
“The first goal was a sensational individual effort by Zane Wilson before Brent Anderson scored his second of the weekend.”
