Grand finals
Congratulations to all of the teams that played grand finals.
Both men’s and women’s games were closely contested and well played.
In the men’s division, Avengers won their sixth straight title defeating Smartline 41-22, while in the women’s Mr G’s Devils defeated Anytime Fitness by one point.
Men's division:
Ryan Armstrong put up a big reach to knock the ball into Avenger's possession at the tip-off.
A quick pass from Ryan to James Knight saw Avengers come up with the first points of the game.
A few fouls worked against SmartLine.
A bit more relief came for SmartLine with Avengers misfiring passes through the key.
SmartLine scored their first basket through a free throw after 4 minutes. The scoring stalled for a couple of minutes until Tristan Crome scored for Avengers.
