Freshly returned from France, Christine Pearce of the Alliance Française de Milton Ulladulla is set to resume various French language classes on the week beginning July 18.
The classes are designed for all levels, from those wanting to travel to France and learn basic phrases, to those wanting to be fluent.
If you have always wanted to learn a new language or would like to brush up on your old school French, then you might consider enrolling in the beginners level one course and continue on through to level four. If you are more experienced in the language, you may want to start at a more advanced level.
For more information, please contact Christine on 0468 954 487.
Other AF DE MU activities are also coming up. On Saturday, July 9, the regular second Saturday of the month event, the Matinee des Bavards will be held from 10am at the Dunn Lewis Centre. Chat in French over a coffee, perhaps play a French board game. All levels of language skill are welcome to this relaxed, non-judgemental get-together.
Bastille Day is July 14. As always, the AF de MU will celebrate this event major event in their calendar. This year it will be with a lunch at the Merry Street Restaurant, Kioloa on Sunday, July 17.
Good food and fine wine will make the day one to remember. There will be prizes for best dressed and other novelty categories.
Members and non-members are welcome but booking and prepayment are essential (numbers are limited, so book early). A shuttle bus picking up at Milton, Mollymook and Ulladulla, will be available at a small cost.
On Tuesday, July 27 there will be another of the very popular film and pizza nights (view an English sub-titled, French language film in the Harry Higgs Room, U3A Campus, Milton, then cross the road to the Milton Woodfire Pizza Café (BYO) for pizza or pasta and a yarn – French language is not necessary).
